Chosen Problem: Electricity wastage from lights and appliances left on. Reason: Students wanted to reduce unnecessary energy use and promote responsibility.

Students, teachers, and the administration were affected, with concerns about electricity wastage, environmental impact, and managing high energy costs.

Step 2 Imagine

1. Turn off lights and fans when not in use. 2. Install energy-efficient LED lights. 3. Launch an awareness campaign on saving electricity. 4. Place reminders near switches to turn off appliances. 5. Form a student team to monitor electricity usage. 6. Encourage using natural light during the day.

Chosen Solution: Students launched an awareness campaign, placed reminders, and monitored electricity usage. Reason: These steps effectively raised awareness and reduced electricity wastage.

Students conducted an awareness campaign, placed reminder tags near switches, and formed a team to monitor classrooms, ensuring lights and fans were turned off when not needed.

The project led to reduced electricity wastage in classrooms, increased awareness about energy conservation, and lower electricity bills for the school.

Step 4 SHARE

Students shared their project through classroom presentations, displayed posters around the school, and presented the results during a school assembly. Approximately 250 people, including students, teachers, and staff, were reached. The feedback was positive, with many expressing increased awareness and commitment to conserving electricity.
