Step 1 FEEL

When our students had a field trip to a government hospital they saw many patients and their relatives and family members don't have even food to eat, not only that they need nutritional food so that they cure fast. The second problem is of potholes on the road, during the rainy season roads become so worst in the condition that many people caught in the accidents. Another problem students put forward is many people stand at the bus stop but they don't have a proper place to seat and many senior citizens face a problem.

We choose to work for patients and their relatives, family members who don't have food to eat. Students choose this topic because food is the basic need and everyone's right and they should get it. Also daily students bring tiffin for themselves so they thought of why not to share it.

Mainly poor people who admitted to the government hospital and they don't have food to eat because they are very poor, along with them their family members and relatives also suffers.

Step 2 IMAGINE

The Students find the following solutions to the problem- 1. At first students decided to donate some money to the hospital from their pocket money so that patients will get food. 2. Each Student from the school will donate money directly to patients for their food. 3. Students from the school will go in public and ask them for help in providing food to patients. 4. Daily two students will bring the tiffin from their home and peon uncle of the school will go to the hospital and distribute the food.

Students selected the fourth number solution that is Daily two students will bring the tiffin from their home and peon uncle of the school will go to the hospital and distribute the food. Students selected the above solution because every student of the school brings tiffin for their own and it is easier for them to bring some extra tiffin(food), parents also agreed and each student of the school has to bring tiffin only once in the complete year. Students decided to continue this activity not only for one year but every year the responsibility will be transferred to junior students and thus activity will be continued.

Step 3DO

At first, students visited the Chief doctor of the Government hospital Dr Shailaja Kuppaswami and explained to her the process, how they will act on their solution. The chief doctor and the management gave permission to students and told them that they will coordinate for this activity. Students made planning in such a way that every student of the school can participate in this activity for this they also contacted parents and explained to them their motive. Daily two students will bring the tiffin to school and peon uncle of the school will go to a government hospital and distribute the food among patients and with their relatives. This process will be continued for not only complete year but every year this responsibility will be transferred from seniors to the juniors and thus process will be continued.

As daily food is shared with the poor patients and with their relatives they all were very thankful to students as they are getting nutritional food on daily basis. The management of the hospital is also very happy with the efforts taken by students and congratulate all the students for maintaining it on regular basis.

2800

The patients who were admitted in the hospital and getting the daily food are saying that, " We are very thankful to all the children's and many blessings to them" The management of the hospital also admiring students, "This is the best and easiest model of providing food to poor people, we are also thankful to all the parents who are supporting this great task. This model can be implemented in another part of the society also"

At first, students faced a problem in taking the permission from hospital management committee because of strict COVID norms in the hospital. Also, management enquires about the nutritional values of food which students are going to provide to patients because as they are admitted to the hospital so they need good quality nutritional food. The problems put by management of the hospital were also right because it is a big responsibility on them as well as on all the students and school as it concerns directly with the health of patients. With the help of the Management of the school and teachers students were able to convince the hospital management and they give permission.

7-15 Days

Zero hunger

In India still, many people sleep without eating food and it becomes more serious if these poor people are admitted to the hospital because to recover from the health issues they have to get good food. Students are trying to provide food as much as they can do therefore this effort if followed by other people and if they can share their food with such poor people definitely India will be free from hunger.

Step 4 SHARE

Students shared their projects with their friends and parents as well as shared on the social media platforms of the school. Students also shared their project with one of the NGO Inner Wheel Club which works on social issues. After listening from students club members agreed to help this project by providing tiffin to patients admitted to the hospital.

More than 100

As students had decided to continue this project for a complete year not only for a complete year but they will pass this project from seniors to their juniors and thus it will be prolonged activity and the poor people will get food on daily basis. Students are sure about the sustainability of this project because each student of the school has to bring the tiffin only once a year as our school has 600 students.
