Step 1 FEEL

So , About a month ago , I randomly visited My School's Junior Science Lab due to some work . There I saw that Students of Junior classes were having problem while studying about cells and tissues as there are only two microscopes in our school which results in the compromise with the students learning .

I chose this problem of lack of microscope in school because I believe in learning gets more better while doing it by yourself. Since , The microscopes were costly so teachers also can't let the student do whatever way they want to learn. Since , I was in that standards , I also felt the same problem of lack of Educational Aid as Microscope. So, I decided to work on this problem for the students who desire to learn but due to lack of resources they can't. There in lab I also saw that some microscopes were kept in a corner , When I asked the teacher he said They are not proper functioning , One don't have lens , one has base damaged and so on. So, I knew that there are different damaged microscopes having different different parts working perfectly. So, I thought it as an opportunity to make something unique.

The most people affected by this problem is students , Because if they get better and handy resources they can boost up their skills and knowledge, As we all know there is a lot of difference in seeing something to happen and to make it happen yourself. Their primary concern was that they wanted to have their own microscope , So that as the teacher explain something they will quickly implement that and learn because for now they had to wait in lines to see what the teacher did . It also waste the important time of practical and also results in loss of their Education.

Step 2 IMAGINE

The different solutions I came up with are:- 1- We can play online video showing what we see inside a microscope. 2- We can request to higher authorities for the more quantity of microscopes. 3- We can borrow microscopes of different schools for a specific day to do practicals. 4- We can repair the Damaged microscopes. 5- We can made a low cost microscope.

I chose to make low cost microscope by using the good parts of damaged microscopes , For example - let us say , There is a microscope which is completely daged but has its eyepiece working while on other hand there is microscope which is completely damaged but has its Lens working .So there I came up with the idea to collect the working parts of damaged microscopes to make my Plastoscope. Since , Online videos do not go e the feel of Self learning and also we can't adjust and do changes with the accordingly our doubts. We can request to higher authorities but higher authorities can't do this as microscopes are very costly and they can't be partial to do the resources to only one or two schools , There are almost 2000 schools in Delhi , If they come to complete resources of Every school, It will cost them very very much. Borrowing from different schools can sound easy but it's too difficult to borrow the only learning aid of that particular subject for even a day nd it's also not easy to have the practical happen on a particular day as if there will be holiday or something else on that day ,The day will be wate for the school who waited for practicals a fortnight or month. Reparing microscopes will cost around more than half of the original cost which again is too costly and expensive and even if we repair them we don't have that much to give to every student. SO , Keeping all the things in mind we came up with the idea of making a low cost Microscope. From here , The path to Plastoscope begins.

Step 3DO

Well, When I thought to make a low cost microscope it seemed to difficult to make such a expensive thing in a small budget . Still we didn't stop. Firstly, I studied the microscope very briefly with the help of my mentor Sajid Sir and refined our idea again and again..But again a problem came with making the structure we need to make it portable and handy , So we were in search of something light in weight , Soon, We get the solution of plastic bottle but plastic bottles didn't fit for the work , So we thought again and again and find to use the empty chemical bottles and now our idea worked , We adjusted the bottles and make it the structure of microscope. And by improving the structure we came up with our Plastoscope..The feeling was just amazing when it worked perfectly.

Our project led to the advance personal learning of Students , Students ,Now came up with more interest and desire to learn. Since it was handy , portable and easy to use .. Even junior classes like 8-9 also able to learn through it with some guidelines. It was likely about a change in The science field of my school.

Feedback by students:- "I am having more interest now in learning , My biology was not too good but Now , It seems to have flourished, I am very thankful that you made this for us , It greatly impacted in my studies." "I was having problem before because when teacher taught us something and then say to see the practical in microscope, I had to stand in line , Sometimes even my turn don't came because as the bell rang we have to go to classes and also sometimes I forgot what to do while stand in the line so long, You just created a blessing for me and several students like me , Thanks a lot.."

The challenges I encountered with was To make it handy and portable , So to make it structure more goodloking and easy to understand and install. So by improving the design and material used in more better manner we solved the issue.

0-7 Days

Quality Education

I think that so because Our project mostly focus on the quality and effective learning of Students , Such that they feel no lag in studies .

Step 4 SHARE

After making complete low cost model of Plastoscope I meet my science teacher and respective schools authorities they see and appreciate my work

More than 100

After making complete low cost model of Plastoscope I meet my science teacher and respective schools authorities they see and appreciate my work. We see different type cell with this low cost microscope cheek cell, onion peel cell, plant cell, etc
