List the challenges or problems in your surroundings (school,neighbourhood etc.) that bothered you.

Bags kept on laps or floor due to no bag racks. Noise and disturbance during study hours. Plastic waste and garbage thrown on roads. Lack of trees and greenery. Mosquito breeding due to stagnant water.

State the problem chosen to work and why.

The problem we chose to work on is the bag gymnastics problem in our classroom. Students had no proper place to keep their school bags during class. They kept bags on their laps or on the floor, which made studying uncomfortable. It also caused difficulty in moving around and keeping the class clean. We chose this problem because it affected every student’s comfort and learning.

Who were the people affected by the problem? What were their primary concerns?

The students in the classroom were the ones affected by this problem. They faced discomfort while reading and writing with bags on their laps. Those who kept bags on the floor couldn’t move freely during class. Their primary concern was to sit comfortably and study without any disturbance.

List ALL the different solutions you came up with.

We discussed many ideas to solve the bag problem in our class. Some suggested keeping bags under the bench using hooks. Others thought of building a shelf or extra table for bags. Some students suggested wall hanging Finally, we decided to arrange a bag rack for each classroom as the best solution.

Which solution from those listed above did you choose to implement and why?

We chose to implement the idea of arranging a bag rack for each classroom. This solution was simple, useful, and could be made with low cost. It helped students keep their bags neatly without occupying bench space. Now everyone can sit comfortably and move around freely in class. This change made our classroom cleaner, more organized, and student-friendly.

Describe very briefly the process of implementing your solution(s).

Students discussed the plan With the help of teachers, they arranged and fixed the rack in each classroom. Soon, all students started keeping their bags neatly on the rack every day.

What was the result or impact of your project?

After setting up the bag racks, classrooms became cleaner and more spacious. Students could sit comfortably and focus better during lessons. Movement in the class became easier without bags on the floor. Everyone felt happy and proud of creating a neat and organized classroom.

What challenges did you encounter while implementing your project, and how did you overcome them?

One challenge we faced was collecting amount to make the bag racks for all classrooms. Another problem was finding space and fixing the racks securely without disturbing students. We overcame these by planning carefully, and getting help from teachers. With teamwork and proper guidance, we were able to install the racks safely and neatly in every classroom.

Small changes like this help ensure that every student gets a better opportunity to study and learn efficiently.

How did you share your project with your school and community? Who did you share your project with? What was their response?

We shared our bag rack project with our teachers, students , and school principal. Students explained the problem they faced and howthey found a simple solution. Photos and videos of the installation and students using the racks were shown to everyone. We also talked about the benefits of keeping the classroom clean and organized. The school community appreciated our teamwork and creativity in solving the problem. Everyone was happy to see a neat, comfortable classroom and encouraged us to continue such projects.

Briefly share your plan to sustain the impact of your project?

To sustain the impact of our bag rack project, we plan to encourage all students to use the racks daily. Class monitors will check that bags are placed properly at the end of each class. We will also clean and maintain the racks regularly to keep them in good condition. Teachers will remind students about the importance of keeping the classroom organized. By following these steps, we can ensure the classroom remains comfortable, tidy, and student-friendly every day.
